how to help
We are the sole distributor of surplus food products to overĀ 150 charitable food programs, including ourĀ soup kitchens, food shelves and homeless shelters. Other recipients include low-income individuals in need of supplemental assistance, group homes, senior programs, youth programs, addiction treatment centers and domestic abuse programs.
As a non-profit food bank, our primary role is to provide food to the front-line charitable agencies that offer meals to the hungry. We distribute over two million pounds of food in our 21 county service area annually.
As part of the Feeding America network, we rescue food and non-food items from national and regional manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, restaurateurs and growers. These products are temporarily stored in our 14,000 square foot facility, and then quickly distributed to charitable agencies throughout our service region.
