Jaclyn Aker and Brandon Heider of Frandsen Bank & Trust in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, presented Susie Novak, executive director of North Country Food Bank with a check in the amount of $3,000 on July 15, 2016. These funds will be used toward North Country’s building project. North Country must move its operations to a new facility in order to comply with the contractual obligations and safety requirements of Feeding America and other governing agencies. It is also the right thing to do in order to provide more food for people in need. North Country is eligible for $3 million in matching funds from state bonding funding. North Country must raise an additional $3 million in order to receive the matching funding. Thank you Frandsen Bank & Trust of East Grand Forks, MN. Thrivent Financial believes in taking action to help feed those in need. This past summer, Thrivent Financial sponsored a charitable giving tent at Hope Fest (a Christian rock festival) in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. North Country was one of the recipients of funds raised through Thrivent’s charitable giving tent. On July 21, 2016, Mike Paulson of Thrivent Financial, presented Susie Novak, the executive director of North Country Food Bank, with a check in the amount of $5,000. For every $1 received, North Country can provide enough food for 5 meals. Thank you Thrivent Financial! Your generous support will help provide 25,000 meals for those struggling with hunger in northwest and west central Minnesota.
North Country Food Bank received a donation from the Grant County Farm Bureau to help in our mission to end hunger in northwest and west central Minnesota.
The Becker County Farm Bureau donated to North Country Food Bank to help provide meals to those in need throughout northwest and west central Minnesota.
The Traverse County Farm Bureau made a donation to North Country Food Bank to provide 1000 meals and to join our mission to end hunger in northwest and west central Minnesota.
The Wilkin County Farm Bureau helps to provide 1,000 meals to those in need in northwest and west central Minnesota.
The West Otter Tail Farm Bureau gave a donation to North Country Food Bank to help end hunger in northwest Minnesota.
The Pelican Rapids council approved a proclamation supporting the Farm Bureau's food campaign, "Take Action Against Hunger Day", encouraging Bureau members and area communities to support local food pantries and North Country Food Bank. The Mahnomen County Farm Bureau made a donation to North Country Food Bank to provide meals to those facing hunger in northwest Minnesota.
