Thrivent Financial believes in taking action to help feed those in need. This past summer, Thrivent Financial sponsored a charitable giving tent at Hope Fest (a Christian rock festival) in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. North Country was one of the recipients of funds raised through Thrivent’s charitable giving tent. On July 21, 2016, Mike Paulson of Thrivent Financial, presented Susie Novak, the executive director of North Country Food Bank, with a check in the amount of $5,000. For every $1 received, North Country can provide enough food for 5 meals. Thank you Thrivent Financial! Your generous support will help provide 25,000 meals for those struggling with hunger in northwest and west central Minnesota.

Bad credit can simply paralyze your life. You can't get a loan for the car you want and you may not even be able to get a simple credit card. To make things worse, there are people out there who will try to scam you by saying they will repair your credit problems, as long as you can scrap together the money to pay an upfront fee. Luckily, there are ways to check and make sure you are not about to be a victim.
